Isolation Unit

What is an isolation unit?

We have a completely separate space in our clinic for pets that are contagious or at high risk of getting ill if they are close to other pets. Our isolation unit is similarly equipped to our hospital unit, but everything we use there is dedicated to that unit and disinfected to create a safe environment where your pet receives the necessary care.

How long can we keep your pet in isolation?

The duration of your pet’s stay at our isolation unit depends on their condition and how fast they are recovering.

How do we take care of your pet in isolation?

Although your pet will be separated from others, they won’t be left alone. We will provide individualised care. Just as when they are admitted to our hospital, they will receive their medication, and treatments and be monitored by our team. We will feed them, clean their space and provide the love and care they need.

Can you visit your pet while they are in isolation?

Your visits may be limited while we’re isolating your pet. We know how important it is to maintain your connection with your pet, so we will work with you to arrange safe visits and keep you updated on your pet’s progress.

What happens after your pet leaves the isolation?

Once we’re sure your pet is safe to leave our isolation unit, they will go through a thorough health check. You will receive post-isolation care instructions and we’ll schedule follow-up appointments as needed. You may still need to give your pet medication and keep them away from other animals until they fully recover.
